Step III

Excavation & Base Preparation

A great retaining wall is built from the bottom up. We excavate below the frost line, remove all organics from the base, and compact a minimum six-inch crushed gravel base before any block or stone is placed. We install perforated drain tile at the base of the wall and ensure positive drainage to an outlet point away from structures.
